Born Eniola Akinbo, Niyola is a singer, song writer and performer, who unknown to many, has spent over a decade on the Nigerian music scene. Niyola ventured into the industry in 2000 after emerging runner-up at the AMEN organized Starlet competition.
Niyola started out as a backup for Baba Dee and Sound Sultan then also had a brief stint with Eldee’s Trybe Records. She later moved Westside Records alongside Freestyle whom she had earlier hooked up with at Make Some Noise Productions.
In 2012, Niyola joined Banky W’s EME as its only female act and her career has gradually picked up, after going on a long and unpopular hiatus.
Her singles ‘Toh Bad’, and ‘Last Bus-stop’ are highly rated RnB songs which excited fans.
Niyola won the ‘Female Artiste of the Year’ at the 2014 edition of Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Happy birthday Niyola!
