After a series of media back and forth between Bobrisky, aka “Mummy of Lagos” and social media influencer VeryDarkman, who has developed a knack for being the “people’s fighter” and being at the throats of those he believes are wrong doers in the society. Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkman has been summoned by the National Assembly to appear after he alleged that the EFCC received bribe from Bobrisky to the tune of N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.
All hell was set loose after VeryDarkman released an audio recording in which the cross-dresser claimed to have bribed his way out of the money laundering charges levied against him.
Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky was sentenced to six months in Kirikiri in April, but purported evidence from VeryDarkman sent more shock-waves after Bobrisky also claimed he avoided serving a six-month jail sentence at Kirikiri Prison in Lagos, thanks to arrangements made by his godfather, who allegedly secured him accommodation in a lodge instead of prison.
Earlier today, Bobrisky watered down the audio recording by saying it was AI generated.
The House of representatives in order to have a broader investigation summoned VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky, and EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede to get clarity on the issue.
Popular activist and VeryDarkman’s legal representative, Deji Adeyanju took to his his X account to say that his client will appear before the House of Assembly to help unravel the truth involving Bobrisky, EFCC and NCos officials.
Adeyanju tweeted: “We will be at the National Assembly tomorrow with our client @thatverydarkman to assist in investigations into allegations by Bobrisky that he/she paid N15m to have money laundering charges dropped by EFCC and also bribed prison officials to stay in an apartment”.
