Popular American comedian and actor, Eddie Griffin has officially dissolved his six-month old marriage with Nia Rivers according to American news site, TMZ.
The 43-year-old actor tied the knot last September and one month later, the couple had filed a joint divorce petition, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
After attempts at reconciliation by the couple failed the impending divorce was finalized by a Nevada judge.
The agreements following the divorce has it that both parties have agreed to joint custody of their two-year-old child King Edward Griffin, while ex-wife Nia will receive $2,500 in monthly child support.
The couple also entered into a non disclosure agreement on the divorce papers, by which neither person would ever disclose details about the split, whether in a book, a screenplay, or any media interviews.
Griffin has been married three times. He married his first wife Carla in 1983 when he was 15 years old, but divorced one year later. Griffin married his second wife, Rochelle, in 2002, but has since divorced. Griffin has nine kids.
