Sierra Leone international, John Kamara, has disclosed that he has been banished from playing, training or mixing up with his club team mates for 15 to 21 days by his Greek club, PAS Lamia.
According to the footballer, the banishment order was handed down to him over fears bordering on the deadly Ebola virus.
Kamara said he had returned to Greece to rejoin his club side after playing for Sierra Leone in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers tie against Cameroon but got an unpleasant surprise on arrival.
Speaking with BBC Sport in a recent interview, the player said: ‘[The club told me] I shouldn’t be with the team for 15 to 21 days as I went to Africa to play and because of the Ebola virus.’
He also said he was asked to say indoors to avoid the public.
‘They made it clear I should stay indoors or I should travel abroad to see my family and not go to training’
Kamara became a Lamia FC player earlier this year after he moved to the club from Apollon Smyrni.
