The younger fans of family entertainment channel, Nickelodeon should be pleased to know that the cartoon character ‘Dora the Explorer’ is storming Nigeria for the very first time to encourage financial responsibility from an early age.
Nickelodeon has partnered with Access Bank Plc as both brands focus on ‘redefining the retail banking space for children in Nigeria with the launch of a bespoke account for young savers’. An ‘Early Savers Account’ has also been launched just for Nigerian parents and children to ‘engage and involve young savers’.
Dora, seen in Nigeria on DStv Channel 305 and STV, will be holding her first ever public performance, featuring well-known nursery rhymes, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 September 2011.
Check out a few pictures from the launch that took place on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Federal Palace Hotel.
