Nelson Mandela is reported to be in ‘serious but stable condition’ after being hospitalized with a recurring lung infection, the South African presidential office said on Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Mandela was taken to the Pretoria hospital yesterday after his condition worsened, a statement from Jacob’s Zuma’s office says.
‘Doctors are doing everything possible to make him better and comfortable’.
The former president has been hospitalized several times recently for lung infection and pneumonia and hasn’t made an appearance appeared in public since South Africa hosted the World Cup in 2010.
