Rapper, DMX has been handed a 6-month jail term after failing to fulfill his child support obligations.
DMX was arrested on Friday, June 26, 2015 by the police and taken before Judge Deanne Trippi, a family court justice who sentenced him to jail on July 12, 2015.
The ‘Party Hall’ rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, to be indebted up to $400,000 worth of child support which has accumulated over the years.
The 44-year-old rapper was initially charged for robbery alongside the child support suit but the robbery case was dropped after the principal witness couldn’t identify him as the suspect.
The rapper who has also featured in a number of movies is noted as one of the American celebs who have been arrested most for one crime or the other. He has been previously jailed for different offences including drug charges, felony, criminal impersonation, reckless driving and parole violation.
