DJ Zeez and Manager Part Ways?

Has Kingsley Ekpo, the singer-producer popularly known as DJ Zeez parted ways with his long-time manager Tunde Peters? Although the contract between them is expected to end in September 2011, insiders insist the hit-maker is no longer working with Mr. Peters.

Sources say there have been misunderstandings between Peters and Zeez, with the former accusing the producer/singer of violating terms of their agreement.

But upon placing a phone call to DJ Zeez, a young man who claims to be Tunde Peters (this was later confirmed by our reporter) says the news about Zeez and himself parting ways are ‘false’.

‘It’s not true, we were still together on Friday and right now, I’m talking to you through his phone. A friend of mine said he read the story about us parting ways but it’s all false’, Peters says.

The talent manager, who was also Dagrin’s manager,  didn’t deny that he and Zeez had gone through some minor issues but insists they’re still working together. ‘Anybody can have differences with other people just like I did, but that doesn’t mean we have gone our separate ways’, Mr. Peters insists.

In related news, DJ Zeez will be releasing his third studio album this year, speaking with his manager, he stated that the whole project which had reached the final stage of production was scrapped because he (Zeez) wanted to meet up with the new sound of music Nigerian acts are making.

DJ Zeez who recently signed with Serengeti Records is known for producing hit songs like ‘04Kasibe’, Skuki’s ‘Banger’ and 9ice’s ‘Party rider’
