Nigerian singer, D’banj, has announced that the release of his new singles has been postponed till next week.
The DB records boss who had announced the initial release date days ago said the change of plans was out of respect of late South African rapper HHP who passed on a few days ago.
Announcing the change of plans on his Instagram page, D’banj said: “Rest in perfect peace my brother HHP . 🕯. All releases postponed till next week to Mourn and Honor Our Legend 🙏.” He Also recalled the first time he and HHP met after they were nominated together for the MTV EMAs and said the late rapper will be missed while praying that his legacy outlives him.
Jabulani Tsambo, better known by his stage name Hip Hop Pantsula, later shortened to HHP, was a South African hip-hop legend who passed away on October 24, 2018. Dbanj is set to release two new singles, ‘Shake It’ featuring Tiwa Savage and ‘Something 4 Something’ featuring South African rapper, Cassper Nyovest.
