A week after Nigerian music star, D’banj dropped a new song titled ‘Extraordinary’ which he dedicated to Women empowerment and raising awareness about poverty and other related issues, he’s just received a major shout out from World Bank President, Jim Kim.
Jim Kim wrote about D’banj on his Linkedin page, saying: ‘I recently met one of Nigeria’s most dynamic performers, the singer-songwriter, D’Banj. Last year, D’Banj spearheaded a campaign urging African governments to increase their investments in agriculture.’
Recall that D’banj was one of the world stars who performed at the World Bank’s Earth Day event in Washington a few weeks back. He premiered the new song shortly after the event as the first artist to participate in the World Bank’s new series, ‘#Music4Dev’, encouraging global artists to raise awareness about poverty and related issues.
