Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has also paid to tribute to the ‘fine journalist’.
Speaking through his Twitter, he wrote, ‘my heartfelt condolence to the family of BBC’s Komla Dumor. A GREAT African and an intelligent presenter/reporter. May his soul rest in peace’.
Dangote is a newbie on twitter, as he recently joined the micro-blogging platform on the eve of the New Year, and so far has a mere 4 tweets to his credit the third being his tribute to Dumor.
Ghana-born Dumor was up till his death, a presenter for BBC World News and its ‘Focus on Africa’ programme. He passed away on January 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife and 3 daughters.
