The Abuja police confirmed that singer Dammy Krane had been in custody, undergoing intense interrogation by the Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) However, recent reports suggest that the ‘My Dear’ crooner has been released.
This development comes in the wake of Krane’s shocking allegations against Davido.

Dammy Krane claimed that the arrest was a ploy related to alleged involvement in illegal activities connected to Flutterwave and cryptocurrency scams. He also issued a stern warning that if anything were to happen to him, Davido should be held responsible.
According to reports, Dammy Krane was detained by the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID) for nearly a week.
On Wednesday, August 28, FCID spokesperson Funmilayo Eguaoje provided an update, clarifying that Krane is not in prison but is being questioned by the cybercrime unit.
Eguaoje noted that while the nature of Krane’s detention was not detailed, the singer is expected to be released after his interrogation.

“He is not in a cell,” Eguaoje explained yesterday. “He is with the section that is investigating the matter and is likely to be released after the interrogation. He is with the cybercrime unit, and they are recording his statement.”
But in a recent video shared by VeryDarkMan, the social media activist, Krane can be seen celebrating his release.
Krane apologised to Davido for the allegations he had made against him. He also appreciated the police commissioner in Abuja and VeryDarkMan for his support.
“I wanna say a big thank you to my brother. I know there are a lot of words that ought not to be said. I know. I want to apologise for this Tagbo death allegation. Make you una still remember David is my brother. And we are going to find a major ground to resolve everything,” he said.
“It is still WorldStar movement. Let us spread more music.”

The feud between Dammy Krane and Davido, which dates back to allegations over unpaid songwriting contributions and claims of sabotage regarding Krane’s record deal with Sony Music, has significantly intensified.
Davido has labelled Krane as “ungrateful,” asserting that he received no payment for their collaborations and had even provided support when Krane was homeless.

Dammy Krane has continued his public attacks on Davido, using social media to accuse him of being involved in the death of his friend Tagbo Umeike, who died from alleged alcohol poisoning in October 2017. In response, Davido has denied the accusations and threatened legal action against Krane for “defamation of character and cyberbullying.”
