The four suspects charged in the murder of Cynthia Osokogu have pleaded guilty to the six-count charges brought against them.
The late Cynthia, a postgraduate student of the Nassarawa State University was alleged poisoned, raped and killed by two of the men, Okwumo Nwafor and Ezike Olisaeloka, whom she became friends with on Facebook.
According to reports by Channels Television, the court took the testimony of the first witness, a certain Mrs Ifeanyi Njewu, who testified that at the time of the incident, on July 22, 2012, she worked as the receptionist of the Cosmilla Suites & Hotel at Lakeview Phase 1 Estate, Lagos, where the late Cynthia was murdered. She identified Okwumo Nwafor and Ezike Olisaeloka as being present at the hotel on the day of the incident.
The court, however granted bail to Orji Osita and Ezike Nonso, while the other two who allegedly committed the offence of murder are still remanded at the Kirikiri prison, Lagos.
