Cynthia Morgan, aka Madrina, has been absent from the music scene for a few years now.
Last night on Instagram Live, she spoke about leaving Northside Records owned by Jude Okoye, falling into depression and changing her name.
Sandra Ogbebor (MsVanila7) who has been championing her return to the industry has opened a GoFundMe account to restart Madrina’s career.
Peter Okoye who has also had a fall out with his brother, Jude has spoken up about the issue in a series of tweets. He talked about offering Madrina a contract, deciding to leave the label and prayed that she’ll overcome.

Her former manager, Joy Tongo has claimed that Madrina isn’t being upfront and has issued a warning that she would reveal intimate details about the artiste if she doesn’t clear the air. She says in a series of tweets, “People will do anything for clout! SMH!

Following her decision to restart her career, she has also made a return to social media. Her new Instagram handle is @therealmadrina and @madrinafire on Twitter.
Opinions are divided on the developing matter, but it appears the industry is ready to welcome the talented artiste back. Most of her fans unanimously think her former management should leave her be. And some are even likening her case to that of Kizz Daniel whose impasse with his label led to a name change but didn’t truncate his career.
