Italy has left the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup with their heads up high as they’ve finished in third place, beating Uruguay in the losers’ final match.
Italy won the match through a penalty shootout with Italy’s Gianluigi Buffon saving the day after parrying away Diego Forlan’s effort.
Both sides had played a 2-2 draw before going into extra time and eventually the penalty shootout.
