Lagos-based urban radio station, City FM 105.1 has been bagged a total of 4 awards within the space of 3 weeks for the hard work its team is putting into the broadcasting industry in Nigeria.
On Saturday, November 15, 2014, City FM beat 26 other radio stations to emerge Best Radio Station in Lagos at the 2014 Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Awards and followed that up with the ‘Fast Rising Radio Station Of The Year’ at the 2014 Nigeria Model Achievers’ Award (NMAA), ‘Outstanding Station Of The Year’ at the 2014 Heritage Award and the ‘Best Media Support in Radio’ at the 2014 StarBrand Merit Awards.
Speaking on the awards, CITY FM Managing Director, Doja Allen, has expressed her joy while dedicating the award to listeners and lovers of CITY FM.
‘If listeners didn’t enjoy the various programmes of the radio station, they wouldn’t have voted CITY FM as Best Radio Station, which means the management and members of staff are doing something right,’ Doja said.
