Christie’s last performance was at the grand finale of the recently concluded Nigerian Idol talent show which was held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Dream Studios, Ogba, Lagos.
She graced the stage with the two finalists Naomi Mac and eventual winner Yeka Onka as they performed ‘Sun re re‘. It brought joyous tears to many who watched. Here are a few pictures capturing the emotional and memorable moments…

The news came as a shock to me…because I was with her son, Kaka two days earlier. He has been in Abuja for over a year, but returned just to continue with his music and to take care of other stuffs…apparently, his mum was one of the issues he had to come deal with. This is sad… but then again, 51yrs is quite young…May her soul rest in peace and may God grant her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Will truly miss her. RIP
