One of the most widely recognised brands in the world, Toblerone recently announced a change in the shape the chocolate bars are made and consumers are not having it at all.
Toblerone used to be this shape

This is what it is going to be like henceforth

They announced the changes in a Facebook post
Toblerone said the reduction of the 400g pack to 360g and 170g to 150g respectively was done to cut costs.
That hasn’t gone down well with its teeming fans and they have let their feelings about it be known

Chocolate fans speculate that ‘Brexit’ may be the reason why this change occurred, and an article from Time indicated that people believe that the cost of chocolate production was a direct effect of Brexit.
Brexit is a reference to United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union. The article stated that there has been no confirmation to this belief, and that a spokesman from U.S.-based company Mondelez International (one of the companies that manufactures Toblerone chocolate) denied that the change of design has anything to do with the political matter.
Nevertheless the matter continues to displease chocolate enthusiasts everywhere
Seriously. Has anyone tried turning 2016 off and on again? Wtf next? #Toblerone
