English premiership side, Chelsea FC have extended an invitation to Souleymane Sylla, the victim of racism assaulted by the the club’s fans shortly before the club’s UEFA Champions League second leg clash with PSG.
In a press conference held on Friday, February 20, 2015, it was confirmed by Chelsea spokesperson that the victim of the incident would be contacted and offered an invitation to attend the second let at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
‘We are writing to him to apologise and to invite both him and his family to come to the game to be our guest and we hope he’ll take up that offer.’
Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the widely reported incident, three Chelsea fans have since been suspended from the club’s home ground as investigation remains ongoing in the matter.
