Charlie Sheen‘s ‘Anger Management’ has been axed.
The 49-year-old actor and his co-stars and crew members had the news revealed to them on Friday, December 19, 2014 and it has now been made public, just hours before the 100th episode and series finale of the show – which was commissioned for an initial 10 episodes in 2012 and automatically had another 90 ordered after hitting a ratings requirement for FX.
Despite the career blow, Charlie has issued a gracious statement in which he spoke of his ‘pride’ in the show’s run.
He told RadarOnline.com: ‘I am beyond proud of what we accomplished over the course of 100 episodes of ‘Anger Management’.
‘We created something uniquely special with some of the most talented individuals I have ever had the privilege to work with. My sincere thanks to all for their unwavering love and support. Here’s to the next chapter.’
Charlie can next be seen in a cameo role in ‘The Goldbergs’, but in the immediate future is looking forward to a family Christmas.
His publicist said: ‘Charlie is planning on spending the holidays with his family, children and friends and looks forward to what 2015 has to offer.’
