Fifth Harmony is an award winning American girl band which once had five singers – ‘once had’ because Camila Cabello has left the group to pursue a solo career.
The girls – Ally brooke, Norman Jordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui and previously, Camila Cabello – became a group thanks to Simon Cowell at the 2012 X-factor show.
They are popularly known for the hit song ‘Work from Home’ which won two MTV Video Music Awards.
But her exit from the group is not going as amicably as Camila and the group would have envisaged.
According to Camila in a statement she posted on her Instagram, she was shocked to see the group’s statement on her exit, which said they first heard about her exit from Camila’s representatives.
The group had previously sent a message to their fans saying: ‘After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.’
The remaining members of the group also said in their statement that they will continue to pursue their collective and solo careers.
On a personal level though, it remains to be seen how their relationship with Camila will be in the future.
