The new host country to be named will be a replacement for Libya after the North African country pulled out following another round of civil conflicts in the country.
A CAF statement has listed 4 countries, Algeria, Egypt, Ghana and Gabon as those battling to secure the hosting rights for the tournament.
The host of the 2017 edition of the African Cup of Nations will be announced in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
