Already, plans are in place to celebrate the respected radio producer and Guys Lionel Messi and his father has been sentenced to 22 months imprisonment for tax fraudpresenter, columnist for The Guardian and Fela Kuti’s first manager.
A 4-day event has been planned to celebrate Pa Benson where three of his books will be presented, and the ceremony will provide an opportunity for his era and this era to engage in meaningful conversations about yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The celebration will hold from June 16 – 19, 2016 at Muson Centre, Freedom Park and Goethe Institute in Lagos.

In February 2015, Pa Benson was honoured with a fellowship of the Adam Fiberesima School of Music and Conservatory (AFSM) of the University of Port Harcourt.
