Concerts come with very high expectations but Brymo exceeded all of them at his recent live concert held at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, on June 25, 2022.
Following the release of his ninth studio album, ‘Theta” which debuted on May 27, 2022, popular Nigerian hitmaker, Brymo who is known for his sound and culturally rooted lyrics took his fan on a journey filled with thrilling musical performances at his ‘Blasphemy’ concert.
Nominated in 6 different award categories in the upcoming Headies Award, the ‘Ara’ singer has touched many with his songs like ‘Brymstone’, ‘The Son of a Kapenta’, ‘Tabula Rasa’, ‘Yellow’, ‘1 Pound’ and a long list of other soulful releases. His concert which was sponsored by MTN Nigeria saw an incredibly large number of attendees who sang along to his songs and immersed themselves in his performance throughout the evening.
MTN Nigeria’s sponsorship of the concert is in line with the brand’s position towards promoting Nigerian arts, culture and entertainment, with the recent sponsorships of Asa’s live concert at Eko Hotel, VI, Lagos earlier this month and the Best Short Film or Online Video at the just concluded AMVCA.
Recall that in March this year, the leading digital solutions provider partnered with local tech company uduX to stream Davido’s historic concert at the London 02 Arena to over 700,000 fans, further strengthening the tech brand’s position as a foremost investor of digital innovation in the Nigerian music industry.
Commenting on the sponsorship of the event, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria, Adia Sowho, said, “We are delighted to support talented musicians such as Brymo. Entertainers who are constantly striving to sell the Nigerian culture to the world. Brymo is an inspiration to many, he is one of Nigeria’s leading lights and he deserves to be celebrated. At MTN, we remain passionate about investing in the arts, entertainment and fashion industry because we believe in harnessing and promoting our country’s boundless talent.”
The concert saw performances from Bumi Thomas, Reformdelacruz, Tunde Gautier, Jugo Aces, Noël Mio, among others.
