The much talked about, highly anticipated wedding between the controversial Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson and her supposed fiancé, Prince Odianosen Okojie which has been slated for Saturday, August 27, 2011 is currently in near-jeopardy as a supposed legal wife of Okojie, who resides in Canada with two children believes to be Okojie’s voices out in despair. According to the mystery wife, Mrs. Lovely Okojie, she married her husband (Mercy’s Fiancé) in Regio – Emilia, Italy, back in 2006.
The mother-of-two spoke to blogger Linda Ikeji last week, hoping to reveal the truth and force her husband to cancel plans of wedding Mercy Johnson and return home.
Johnson’s publicist has however reacted to Lovely’s claims by issuing a statement on Friday, August 5, 2011 which states:
‘The relationship between Prince Odianosen Okojie and Lovely Okojie, packed up five years ago, and Mercy Johnson’s marriage plans to Odi has been in the open for quite a while. Odianose truly is the father of the girl in the pictures being spread all over the internet but there are doubts that he is the father of the boy. Odianose is a prince and can marry more than one wife under customary law. In her bid to stop the marriage, Lovely Okogie has gone to Christ Embassy to demand that the marriage be stopped, but the Church has requested that she provides a marriage certificate to back up her claim but as at the time of this publication, Lovely is yet to come up with a tenable certificate. While we are left to decide who is right and who is not, Mercy Johnson and Odi’s plans for the wedding remains the same, it will be a 4-day event that will run from August 25 to 28, 2011. In details, the court wedding will be on August 25, Engagement will be on 26, Church wedding and reception will be on 27 and then a Thanksgiving Service/Bride’s party on 28’.
In a mail published on www.lindaikeji.blogspot.com, the apparently devastated Lovely Okojie laments ‘…he’s busy in Nigeria planning to wed Mercy Johnson, abandoning me and our children. Fellow women is this fair? So with all the single guys out there, Mercy could not find herself one. How can a woman not care that she’s destroying the home of another woman, all in the name of getting married desperately. I’m in terrible pains. What do I tell my children?’
The build up to Johnson’s wedding has been the talk of the town ever since she stepped out with Okojie some months back. From the wedding details which hit the internet to Mercy being stalked by camera men when she went shopping for her wedding gown, the Nollywood favourite has found it hard staying out of the news. The wedding was slated to hold from August 25 – August 27, 2011 after the couple to be were said to have gone for a family introduction at the actress’ family home in Ebiraland (Okene, Kogi State) on Friday November 27, 2009.
No word yet from the now embattled groom. But those close to him say he’s assured them he’s going ahead to marry Mercy. ‘The wedding goes on’ he was quoted to have said, Friday.

Mrs. Lovely Okojie is trying to blow the whole stuff out of proportion, coz a celebrity is involved… You can’t force a man to be where he doesn’t want to be.. Its very possible that she doesn’t know how to make a man say “ALLELUIA'”. She should just get a life and leave the man to get married to whomever he deems will make him happy in life. Who knows what the dude must have been going through in the hands of this woman? Who would have heard the whole story if the bride-to-be is nobody. This is marriage, period!!! The prince should just produce the dirvoce papers if they have divorced! Saying you are no longer together, you love your Mercy does not mean he did not marry Lovely — he married her and now, he must bring the proof that he is no longer married to her.

The guy is a bad boy,prince this or prince that is a terrible person. Ther’s this saying that picture can’t lie. So what other prove does anyone want to know that this is no man but a fool who abandoned his family for the lust of Mercy Johnson’s big breasts and big bottom. He will enjoy them for just few years and a young lady with bigger boobs and bottom will appear again on nollywood and he will quickly dump Mercy and rush to that one. Mercy is also too cheap. Why wouldn’t she care that she is breaking another woman’s home? Mercy should watch out for the law of karma. With whatever you measure is what you will be measured with. Take it or you leave it.
I wonder how people take these super markets called church to be a house of God. Failures in the society who become rich by deceiving people with the bible-who gave them the right to join two people together in a holy matrimony, which was ordained in heaven. If they are really representatives of the true God why are they partial in their judgement? Why are they not investigating the matter properly? And at the same time lying as usual to the woman that they will get back to her and yet never did. It’s only a foolish person that will see this case and the pictures backing up the claims of the original wife of this good for nothing boy and still requesting the marriage certificate from the woman. The church and the Nigerian judiacial system are completely in choas. It will take me an ordinary person just few days to investigate this issue and get the prove. Why aren’t the so called church and the court demand a divorce certificate from the man too who wants to marry? Or is the man claiming that he was never married or never met Lovely at all? So if the man agreed there was a marriage between him and Lovely, then he too must produce his divorce certificate. Lovely is saying the truth about the man taking away the marriage certificate just to make sure she doesn’t produce it at request. It has happened to me, but my own case was easy because I never ever loved the man that I married because it was a marriage arranged for me. I have two children with him too but I love the children but I hate the man and that makes it so easy for me that he stayed far from me. Today my life is far much better than it would’ve been if i had continued in that hopeless marriage. But so called prince is so dumb to know that he too should produce a divorce certificate before he could get married. But he knows he can get his way because Nigeria is a messed up society. If I were Lovely i will put this man and his problems in the dust bin and continue my life stressless, afterall she has used him to become a mother- the greatest achievement of a woman. Marriage is not an achievement but having a child is. If she were to get a child through IVF could she have afford it, not to talk of getting two? So let the free sperm donor continue going round donating free sperm.
No one should think that guy is rich, he’s just a scammer(419)that got a little money from a mugu and went back to flash Mercy, and she stupidly fell. That woman is the one that helped that so called prince, she brought him out of Nigeria and now he’s made a little money and thinks he can dump her for an actress he’s wanted to sleep with since his days in Nigeria but didn’t have enough money to approach. He doesn’t love Mercy, its just his ego, to prove to himself that he can get her. Ive been to Italy and i know how Nigerian guys here behave. Mercy Johnson is really foolish and shallow to continue with that wedding. I thought she was actually wise, but these days money can buy anything. But what goes around comes back around, she’ll get hers too. Men like that never change. And Christ Embassy shouldn’t have gotten involved in that messy situation!
