Another black sad day in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, as sources are confirming to us, that popular Nollywood actor Ashley Nwosu, has passed.
Colleagues, including Mike Ezeruonye and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, confirm that the actor, who had been ill and was reportedly in a coma yesterday, is no more.
Nollywood industry authorities, who spoke to Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET), tell us Nwosu passed in the early hours of today at the Military hospital, Yaba, Lagos after suffering from a severe liver problem.
‘RIP ashley..what a sad loss!‘; actress Uche Jumbo wrote on her Twitter page minutes ago.
Ashley Nwosu was one of the first generation Nollywood actors. In most movies he often played the role of Husband, Dad, Pimp or ‘Sugar Daddy’. Some of the popular movies he starred in are ‘Power Brokers’, ‘Foreign affairs’, ‘Lagos Babes’ and ‘Ghetto love’.
