The 2025 edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference, NECLive, opened with television host Bolanle Olukanni and comedian TeeA leading the event as co-hosts. This marks the first time in the conference’s history that two hosts are anchoring the program simultaneously, a shift that both presenters described as a reflection of the industry’s evolution.
Speaking on stage, Olukanni noted that NECLive has consistently highlighted the power and influence of Nigeria’s entertainment sector. She added that the growth over the years has been significant, with each edition attracting an even broader mix of participants. According to her, photographers, influencers, content creators, and various professionals within the creative space turned out in strong numbers for this year’s gathering.
TeeA reflected on earlier editions of the conference, recalling memorable moments including an unscripted performance by D’Banj that left a lasting impression on attendees. He described NECLive as an event known for unexpected appearances and standout moments. After their opening remarks, the hosts introduced NECLive convener Ayeni Adekunle and journalist and CNN Africa producer Lamide Akintobi, setting the stage for the day’s conversations about the future of the entertainment industry.
