Lagos socialite Mike Nwogu, popularly called Pretty Mike, is probably one of the most controversial people in the state because of his grand entrances to parties and he did not disappoint again on Sunday at Juliet Ibrahim’s book launch.
The club owner who is friends with the lady of the hour was invited to the launch of Juliet Ibrahim’s book, ‘A Toast To Life’ and he made sure to turn heads with another grand entrance. This time, Pretty Mike opted out of turning up with his usual set of girls, instead arriving at the event with his aides for the night who were all dressed as Big Brother Naija Ninjas.
We couldn’t tell whether or not they are indeed Ninjas from the Big Brother house, but Pretty Mike seized the opportunity to joke about their presence. As he was about to give a pledge for the book, the socialite said that considering how boring this year’s Big Brother Naija has been, the Ninjas had left the house because they had not been paid and he had employed them instead. He laughed at his joke before going on to pledge a sum of 500,000 for Ibrahim’s book.
The Ninjas were very attentive, followed him everywhere he went and obeyed his commands. They also had different postures throughout the night, as they stood by him and did not say a word to anyone. Denrele Edun, the host of the event, had a wild time laughing at the idea but it was pretty clear that Pretty Mike was having fun by lightening up the arena.
