R&B singer and music label boss Bankole ‘Banky W’ Wellington has been chosen as one of the speakers at this year’s edition of the Oxford University Pan Africa Conference which holds on Saturday, May 4, 2013.
He will be speaking on the importance of current cultural shifts and changes in artistic expression.
According to a statement from the singer’s reps, he will also discuss the rise of a vibrant media industry and how these changes are shaping the continent’s self-perception and its image abroad.
Other speakers and panelists at the event include former South Africa president Thabo Mbeki and Sierra Leone president Ernest Koroma.
