‘We are a group and we work together to win. There is no egotism in anyone in this squad,’ the Argentine said.

He added, ‘We always try to enjoy playing together and a goal also gives you confidence, so we always try to enjoy it together when we have a game under control.’
It’s 12 years since Messi was promoted to Barca’s first team as a 17-year-old from the club’s youth academy, La Masia. The Argentine has played alongside some of the greatest footballers in the world during his time in the senior team.
