Friday Igwe, the nineties musician popularly known as Baba Fryo is threatening to sue the Nigerian police for an assault allegedly meted on him by five police officers on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Iyana Ishasi, a suburb of Lagos.
According to a telephone interview with WazobiaFM as reported by Punch Newspaper, Fryo alleged that he tried to intervene when some police officers were seen beating up two ladies. He claims he was instead gang beaten by the five police officers.
Fryo who spoke from his hospital bed said he has sustained a fracture from the injury and would sue the Nigeria police force if they do not take responsibility for his bills.
