Award-winning filmmaker and creative director James Abinibi has been confirmed as a speaker at NECLive 2025 on November 28. Known for his bold, purpose-driven storytelling, Abinibi is the creator of the hit series “Life and Dirt,” which topped Prime Video charts in Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon. His work highlights real social issues while achieving mainstream success, making him one of the leading voices in African storytelling.
Abinibi’s filmography includes titles such as The Call, Mentally, and The Cleanser, all of which reflect his commitment to impactful narratives. His film Last Request earned him major recognition at the 2019 African Film Awards in London, where it won three awards, including Best Director and Best Producer.
