The ‘Akye’ singer who recently featured in ‘The Late Nite Celebrity’ show on eTV, highlighted the challenges he is going through as he claims artistes home and abroad seem to be avoiding his project.
‘It’s not easy getting artistes to feature on my songs currently; many of these artists don’t want to work with me anymore, I want to make myself believe they are busy doing other things or songs.’
Quame also said he has contacted some artistes but believes they turned him down because of his collaboration with popular dance-hall singer, Samini.
‘I called on some artists to feature them and they kept dragging their feet. And I even approached one who opened up and said ‘I don’t want to do a track with you because you did one with Samini.’
Nana, the first Ghanaian to perform at the UK & Ghana Independence Day festival in 2000, is currently promoting his much anticipated single, ‘Akye’ featuring Samini.
