American singer and actress, Arianna Grande has been selected as one of the performers who will honour ‘The Queen Of Soul‘ Aretha Franklin during her funeral on Friday at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit.

The 25-year-old met Aretha when they were both listed for the performance of ‘Women Of Soul’ at the white house in 2004 which was hosted by former President, Barrack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.
The event will also be graced by a packed lineup of performances by Stevie Wonder, Fantasia, Faith Hill, Shirley Cesar and Jennifer Hudson and many others.
The entertainment industry has been in mourning since Aretha Franklin’s death on August 16 at the age of 76 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Ariana first made her heartfelt tribute to the late Soul Music icon with a performance of Aretha’s “Natural Woman” on ‘ Jimmy Fallon‘s “The Tonight Show” featuring the band ‘The Roots’ after Franklin’s death.
