Spanish Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas is a staunch supporter of Malaga football club. The actor couldn’t hide his excitement last week when Malaga qualified for the next round of the UEFA Champions League. The Spanish outfit had lost the first leg by a lone goal but won the second leg with two un-replied goals to take them to the next stage.
Antonio Banderas was able to leave his busy Hollywood schedule to watch his favourite football team. ‘I usually watch the matches on television from afar with nobody else around and suddenly I am here with my compatriots and it’s really, really nice. Not just the football club deserves this but the city as well, deserves this joy.’
‘It doesn’t matter who we get in the next round because Málaga will enjoy themselves again. To be among the eight best teams in Europe this year for us is an incredible triumph for the fans. We have been suffering for many years. It’s not only a fantastic thing for the team but for the city as well’ he further said.
Antonio Banderas has acted in top Hollywood movies such as Zorro, Spy Kids 1, 2, 3, Original Sin, Desperado and other Hollywood blockbusters.
