Today marks the birthday of talented fast-rising actress, Kemi Lala Akindoju.
Born on March 8, 1987, Lala is one of the fastest growing talents in the Nigerian movie industry.
A native of Ondo state, she was born in Lagos where she also had all her education.
Lala attended Fountain School in Surulere for her elementary education before preceeding to the prestigious all-girls school, Queens College. She obtained a B.Sc in Insurance from the University of Lagos while she also has a Masters in Media and Communication from Pan African University.
Her foray into acting started in 2005 when she appeared in a stage play, ‘All I Want For Christmas’. She did numerous stage plays before making an entry into Nollywood with Charles Novia‘s ‘Alan Poza’. In 2010, Lala emerged the Best Actress at The Future Awards.
Veteran cinematograoher, Tunde Kelani however gave Lala her first lead role in his most recent movie, ‘Dazzling Mirage’ where she starred alongside Kunle Afolayan, Seun Akindele and many others.
She also recently starred in Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo‘s ‘Surulere’ as well as Kunle Afolayan’s upcoming movie, ‘The CEO’. Last weekend, she won the Trailbrazer award at the 2016 AMVCA, taking home a brand new car.
