A 20-year old woman, India Kirksey from Ohio, USA, has been charged with raping her four-year-old son, an act which was allegedly live-streamed on social media.
The crime is said to have been reported by a member of the public who watched the news from over a thousand miles away in another state, leading to the young mother’s arrest.
Kirksey has charged with the first-degree felony and her bail has been placed at $350,000.
Police claim she admitted committing the sick crime on the child.
Days before her arrest, Kirksey had posted videos on YouTube, including one where she was twerking at the camera while a child could be heard crying in the background.
Another video which had no audio showed her dancing while a little boy sat by her side watching.
Anonymous family members expressed their sadness at the arrest, claiming the young woman had ‘special needs’ and needed prayers.
‘Pray for the victim and pray for the family that had to be behind something like this and pray for her,’ the unidentified family member said.
The relative added, ‘We, as a family, try the best we can to get therapy and talk to her about stuff and safety and sometimes you can only do so much.
‘This is just not in her character, its not nothing that she would do. I know that she is being portrayed as a monster.
‘Anytime that someone is saying that had made some type of sexual attack on anyone I automatically would think someone is a monster too.
‘But literally anyone that knew Kirksey would know this is clearly not her.’
