In celebration of what she refers to as ‘African-Love Day’, American-based Nigerian singer, Janelia recently released a picture from a photo shoot with her erstwhile mystery hubby, Femi Sanya taken on February 14, 2015.
Although Janelia had not openly introduced him to the world as her husband until now, Femi Sanya has always been with Janelia on stage as both the music director and bass guitar player of her band, Janeliasoul as well as being behind the scenes.
He is the producer of one of Janelia’s most celebrated songs, ‘Love Song in Yoruba’ and also co-directed the music video as well as Janelia’s latest music video, ‘Bakassi’.
Mr. and Mrs. Sanya recently celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary this year and their union is been blessed with two lovely sons aged 7 and 11. The couple met while they were both touring with other bands in the U.S.
Femi Sanya is also the brains behind some of Shina’s Peters hits from the 1990s. Together with the Hausa drummer named Ali Muhammed, he reportedly forged the Afrojuju style while he played the bass guitar behind Shina Peters’ hits which Nigerians have come to love in albums like Ace, Shinamania, Experience and Kilode to name a few.
