Away from the razzmatazz, glamour and awards won, unconfirmed reports from South Africa suggest that countless of Nollywood stars are currently stranded in Port Elizabeth, South Africa with no hope of returning home anytime soon.
The organisers of the award ceremony have been accused of lackluster planning.
Several tweets from a concerned Twitter user, ‘Bolude Adeleye’, over the development read:
Why is every1 quiet about our Nollywood finest & others languishing in SA. Waiting over 8hrs in lounge with bags packed. #AMAA2015

This is the 11th AMAA. Inadequate planning & organization (flight, hotel, welfare…) at this stage is not okay. #AMAADRAMA #AMAA2015

How come no one is tweeting about the AMAA drama happening in South Africa right now? @OloriSupergal @bellanaija @lindaikeji #AMAADRAMA — Bolude Adeleye (@boludeadeleye) September 27, 2015
At the time of this report, NET cannot immediately get through to the organisers of the awards who are all still in South Africa, but a quick look through the social media pages of Nollywood stars indeed confirms that most of them are still in South Africa. Actor and movie producer, Muyiwa Ademola took to Instagram about one hour ago to say, ‘Still here…’
