Controversial radio and television personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has lashed out at the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) for ordering Aflao to be used as the venue for the trial of a new vaccine in the fight against Ebola.
The FDA officially gave an international pharmaceutical company the approval to commence Ebola vaccine trials in the country. However, after concerns were raised by citizens, the Ministry of Health suspended the planned Ebola vaccine trials which was to take place at Hohoe in the Volta Region of Ghana.
However, Afia Schwarzenegger is still pissed with the initial decision and in a Facebook post, she questioned why the FDA would not test monkeys with the vaccine instead of humans.
