Congo DR secured the third place position of the 2015 African Cup of Nations tournament on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
In the match against Equatorial Guinea played at the Nuevo Estadio De Malabo, the Congo DR team ended their AFCON 2015 campaign in a penalty shoot-out victory to deny the host nation the third place trophy.
Both teams had played a goalless draw in first 90 minutes as well as in extra time before resorting to the last option of a penalty shoot-out through which Congo DR they defeated Equatorial Guinea 4 – 2 in the end.
The final clash will take place today, Sunday, February 8, 2015, between Ivory Coast and Ghana.
