The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have unveiled their ‘Best Eleven’ hours after the 2013 African Cup of Nations ended and five Nigerian players make the list.
Goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, defender Efe Ambrose, midfielder Mikel Obi and forwards Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike were selected to complete the team which also has Cape Verde Island’s Nando Maria Neves, Mali’s Seydou Keita, Burkina Faso’s Jonathan Pitroipa, Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and Ivory Coast’s Arouna Koné and Siaka Tiéné.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Burkina Faso in the final game on February 10, 2013, lifting the cup for the third time following successes in 1980 and 1994.
