Nigerian billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote is blessing the Super Eagles of Nigeria with N130m for reaching the final of the on-going Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Nigerian national team reached the finals of AFCON 2013 by defeating the Malian national team 4-1.
A statement from Dangote Group on Thursday explained that the gesture was part of Dangote Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) to promote and encourage sports development in Nigeria.
‘Dangote has always demonstrated commitment to government and people of Nigeria. We are happy over the gesture shown to the players and the coaching crew. It is an example for other well-meaning Nigerians to follow’, Sports Minister, Mallam Bolaji Abudllahi, said of the donation.
The Super Eagles will play Burkina Faso in the tournament’s final on Sunday, February 10, 2013.

nice achievement for super eagle**tenx 4 de determination…
good encouragement. this life is very funny cos Nigerians r at home praying for the eagles to win. when they win the matches, a lot of money is been splashed on them while we at home get nothing despite our contribution via prayers.
They have started again! Face the millions on the streets in Sokoto without basic education, and leave the Nigerian Eagles to face their game. What a priority, Mr. Rich!!
Why can’t we for once appreciate good gestures n encourage one another? There s no country in d world without d poor, yet gr8 achievers are appreciated n encouraged to do better. Just leave Dangote alone n go do ur bits to reward great achievers…
Radiate joy always…
