
Former Super Eagles coach and FIFA technical instructor, Adegboye Onigbinde has described the appointment of Samson Siasia as the new coach of the senior side as a welcome development.
The 2002 World Cup coach who was vocal in his criticism of ex-coach, Sunday Oliseh in a statement said although he didn’t object Oliseh’s appointment but that he was particular about his background.
‘With the new people that have come on board, I believe they have better coaching pedigree than Oliseh,’ Onigbinde said of Siasia and his new assistant, Emmanuel Amunike.
He further disclosed that only a few weeks ago, he sent a letter of commendation to Amunike for his recent feat with the Flying Eagles.
