
Remember when everyone freaked out over the rose gold iPhone? Now, Apple has announced another colour that will fly off shelves: red.
It’s a special-edition RED collaboration available on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with a portion of proceeds benefiting The Global Fund’s HIV/AIDS programs.

The red model marks more than 10 years of partnership between Apple and AIDS charity (RED), founded by U2 frontman Bono and activist Bobby Shriver.
About $130m has been donated by the Cupertino company to the cause over the decade of the partnership.

Buying the phone gives customers a way to contribute to the (RED) Global Fund which aims to eliminate AIDS, while also boasting of a ‘special edition’ Apple device.

The red iPhone, starting at $749 (N235,000 at official rates) and will be available to order in stores and online from March 24.
