Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar opened the 2016 BET Awards with an explosive performance on Sunday night.
Opening the annual ceremony with a dramatic surprise show, Beyonce brought her Formation tour to the BET Awards with the giant stage pool for ‘Freedom’.
She tore up the stage barefooted while in a pool, in formation and flanked by her female troupe of dancers.
Taken from her latest album Lemonade, Beyonce sang: ‘Freedom, freedom! Where are you? ‘Cause I need freedom too.’
Beyonce was up for five BET Awards, which includes Video of the Year as well as Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.
