Many fans are still left wondering if there’s any glimmer of possiblity that star singer 9ice will reunite with his estranged wife Toni Payne; a lot of his followers are wondering if another woman has occupied the vacuum in his life but 9ice has so far kept issues sorrounding his failed marriage a secret.
He has refused to allow his separation issue with Toni Payne prevent him from doing what he knows how to do best which is using notes and tones to make melodies and mind-blowing music . The hit-making artiste who shot the video for ‘gbamu gbamu’ in Lagos on Sunday, February 23, 2010 is set to release five more albums before year- end. An uphill task you will say but sources in the know tell us 9ice has intensified efforts to take his game notches higher and is writing and recording more songs by the day.
Meanwhile the singer-songwriter and his team are currently on a tour of some major European cities.
His manager Dehinde Fajana in an email chat with NET sheds more light on the singer’s performance trip: ‘‘We left Nigeria on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 for Italy on a KLM flight. He has performed in three cities in Italy: Parma on Friday March 23, 2010, Padova on Saturday March 27, 2010 and Firenzee, Italy on Sunday March 28, 2010. He will be performing on Friday April 2, 2010 at Basel in Switzerland; Napoli, Italy on Saturday April 3, 2010, Torino Italy on Sunday April 3, 2010 and Germany on Monday April 5, 2010.
‘‘We are still going to tour 25 European cities in the following countries Holland, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. We are also considering shooting some videos before coming back to Nigeria’’.
9ice gained national attention in 2008 with the wave-making album ‘Gongo-aso’ which contained chart-topping songs ‘gongo-aso’ , ‘photocopy’, street credibility and others.
