The new 12-track album is titled Blessed and organisers have decided to release the album on her birthday, February 5, 2015 as she’s always done.
In an exclusive chat with NET, the late singer’s husband, Teddy Don Momoh said: ‘It’s an album launch but basically we are remembering her in a special way. During her burial, we left Lagos out and it was all in the South South and people were like Keffee was well known in Lagos and even stayed in Lagos so how come we didn’t do anything in Lagos, so I felt her next birthday which is February 5 is good timing. Everything she did was on her birthday, her very first album was released on her birthday, her foundation was launched on her birthday, the Branama Kitchen was launched on her birthday, her 10th anniversary celebration was on her birthday as well. So this year since she’s not around but we felt we needed to keep up the tradition of doing something on her birthday, so we are doing a memorial and the launch of her album, because we were actually working on her album before the incident happened. Before the incident, she was supposed to drop two albums titled Chorus Leader and Beautiful, we were able to drop one, so now we’ll drop the second one and a compilation of her DVDs along with the new album. The album has 12 tracks.’
The album launch of late Kefee, who would have been 35 years old on the day, is scheduled to take place at the Daystar Christian Centre, Oregun, Lagos with comedians Mc Abbey and Sabina as anchors.
