Fashion is eternal; its been here for a long time and will always be. No matter how much you try, some rules in Fashion must not be broken. You don’t have to spend all your money to make a fashion statement. In Fashion, Less is More. Best Kept Secret
Here are some quick tips to achieve the look that you want:
Sun Glasses
These are vital tools in fashion because they cover a multitude of sins. When you really need to head out to catch an appointment or dash out to get something and have little or no time to wear make up, just slip on a pair of sunglasses. They cover almost half of your face, leaving just the nose and lips open. Even if you are too busy to wear balm on your lips, you still look fly, no matter what.
Blazers
A lot of people think that because we live in the tropics, we shouldn’t wear thick clothes or heavy materials. Well, blazers are often put in that category, but shouldn’t be. The blazer is a basic essential for both men and women. It’s a fashion piece that quickly transforms your look from Casual to Smart Casual/Corporate. You could be wearing a simple dress or a top and a pair of jeans, but once you put on the Blazer, it adds that ‘take me serious’ feel to it. #Blazing.
Belts
Large, Medium or Small, they are all cool fashion essentials. When wearing a flared maxi dress, you can slip on a belt to pull the look together. You can slip it on right underneath the bust to get that full maxi effect or right on the waist for definition, making it look small. A cinch in time saves nine
Chains/Necklaces
Accessories have a power of their own. They work very well on plain pieces, such as dresses, shirts, and tops, accentuating your look, and giving the outfit some character.
It could just be a single locket or long chain with a pendant or a chunky neckpiece or layers of chains on the neck. Determine how much drama you want, and work from there, but like I always say, Less is More. The Plainer, the better.
Face caps/Hats
Good days, Bad days, Sunny Days, Rainy Days, a hat a day, saves the day. Many times, a busy schedule leaves us with little or no time to pay attention to little details like our hair. If for any reason you have no time to take care of your hair, don’t leave your house without a hat. Putting a hat on automatically changes your look as it covers your hair, saving you a whole lot of drama. That said, you don’t have to have a bad hair day to wear a hat, its also a great way to protect that gorgeous face from the sun. Wink
Detailed Purses
You can’t always carry a bag to go around town, so for those times you just want to dash somewhere, grab a purse. Make sure its not too plain, so it doesn’t look cheap or tacky or like a dead bag or wallet. A little detail on the purse, steps it up a notch. Cherry on the cake.
Scarves
Scarves are beautiful accessories. To add a little spice, you could throw on a nice scarf. It could be tied on your neck into a nice bow on the side, on your hand, on the sling of your bag, or, if its really long, could be used as a belt. The possibilities are endless! Some even wear scarves as a top. Let your imagination run wild.
