Nollywood actress, Toyin Majekodunmi died a day into the New Year, aged 61.

Thenetng has learned that Toyin’s children rushed her to a nearby hospital after a ‘little’ illness last week, but doctors referred them to Gbagada General Hospital where she gave up the ghost.
Her actor-husband, Solomon Majekodunmi aka Baba Kekere had just departed Nigeria for America, two weeks before her demise.
Meanwhile, Baba Kekere is expected to be back in the country before his late wife’s burial ceremonials, which comes up in March.
Toyin Majekodunmi starred in classic Yoruba films such as, ‘Agba Akin’, alongside Toyin Afolayan aka Lola Idije, Funsho Adeolu, Fadeyi Oloro, Mama Rainbow, Taiwo Akinwande, and Lere Paimo.
The actress who’s survived by her husband and five children (a male and four females) will be buried on March 3.
‘Oko Mi Ye’ singer, Stella Monye has been confirmed to perform at the wake-keep/artiste night on March 2. Other performers will be announced in coming weeks.
